In the 2011 NFL draft the Broncos passed up on first round defensive linemen Nick Fairley and Marcel Dareus, they passed on Marvin Austin, Stephen Paea and Jarvis Jenkins. Hell, they even passed on a hobbled Da’Quan Bowers.

Yet in a draft rife with defensive line talent, the Broncos did come away with the savior of the draft: Defensive Tackle Jeremy Beal.

The Broncos elected to pick a slow, seventh round defensive tackle: “The Real Deal Jeremy Beal.”

Man Mountain Beal

I have also heard he goes by the name “Man Mountain Beal.” Look for him to devastate the opposition, he’ll likely be a ten year starter, he’ll surely be wreaking havoc as a Bronco for the better part of a decade.

Elway and Co. know what they’re doing, they just saved the franchise with this pick. Not since the great Trevor Pryce have we deployed  such a dominating force on the defensive line.
